All you need for a filling station

Much improved since it was taken over by new management and renovated

If it wasn't for 1 being the lowest I could give on this I'd have scored this garage a 0 for such poor people skills from the elder lady that served me today, if I knew her name I would have it recommended to the manager some extra customer service training for her then maybe she would crack a smile that way. I put a tenner of petrol in my car this morning and when I went to pay for my petrol my card declined as I had brought my wrong card with me, so I had to phone my mum to process the transaction whilst I had to leave for work as I was already running late as it was, and I've never felt like such a criminal for a simple human mistake in all my life. I was even asked to leave my ID at the garage for details which is illegal to withhold my lisence in case I needed it, however was told that she would need to keep hold of it as she doesn't know me. I explained that she could take the details from my lisence then hand it back but she refused to give me this back, and I now need to go pick my lisence up from the garage tomorrow since they closed before I finished work so I am going out my way to get this back when all she needed to do was write down details from it. Good thing I wasn't stopped by the police and perhaps needed it! She insinuated that I wasn't going to return and stated that many people don't come back, however I think if I was going to bump petrol I'd have rather filled my tank up first and not just a tenner for a 2ltr engine especially with rediculous prices like 1.18p a litre cos I wouldn't have gotten far! I was severely humiliated with her attitude towards me, and as a regular customer there when visiting my partner it would be nice to know there's some helpfulness in the world rather than making the people that pay your wages feel like a scrounger. I won't be back to the garage and I will be making that clear when I pick up my lisence tomorrow by filing a complaint in for the lack of understanding from the staff.

a petrol station that rarely has petrol, working pumps or space to get your car in as some of the lanes are taken up with cars they are trying to sell, better off going to BP or Shell
